We understand that with the uncertainty surrounding Covid-19, you may be unsure about converting your loft. We want you to know that we take the safety of our customers, employees and sub-contractors (workers) seriously and that your loft conversion project will be carried out safely, by people you can trust.
We have done the following to ensure we comply with the governments guidelines on managing the risk of Covid-19:
- We have discussed and explained our risk assessment of to all employees of our business.
- We have handwashing and hygiene procedures in place including onsite hand sanitiser for our customers, visitors and sub-contractors use. We also ask our onsite customers, employees, visitors and sub-contractors to wash their hands more frequently i.e. before and after visiting the ongoing project.
- We have taken all reasonable steps to maintain a 2m distance onsite and in our customers/potential customers homes. We have asked our workers to maintain social distancing guidelines (2m, or 1m with risk mitigation where 2m is not viable), wherever possible, including arriving at and departing from the project site and while onsite.
- Our workers tools/machines will not be shared and if they are then sanitising of the tool/machine shall take place before another worker uses it.
- Where our staff cannot be 2m apart, we have done everything practical to manage transmission including reasonable steps to work side by side rather than face to face or we wear PPE or face coverings. During home visits for surveys a face-covering will be worn and discussions of your proposed conversion will take place in a safe manner by maintaining a 2m distance.
- We keep a record of all staff, customers, visitors and contractors for 21 days while complying with General Data Protection Regulations.
- We will manage the risk of inbound and outbound goods and materials by minimising contact with the delivery driver and reducing the frequency of deliveries to the project site. Onsite materials will be handled by the designated project workers onsite only.
- We will keep the site area ventilated as much as possible.
- If our workers show signs of symptoms of Covid-19 we shall temporarily cease the project immediately and follow the governments guidelines on self-isolating and testing.
- We ask our customers and sub-contractors to inform us immediately if we have been in contact with them and they have developed Covid-19 symptoms and require a test.
We will continue to review our Covid-19 policy as guidelines change.
